About
Anson is a professional illustrator who has been producing art for the entertainment industry in one form or another for more than 30 years. You may have seen his animation work in video games like Full Throttle and Herc's Adventures or seen his animation of The Demon LeChuck in Curse of Monkey Island. He also has done storyboard work for animated films and shows like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Scooby-Doo, as well as live-action films like Christopher Robin, Wonder Woman and Fantastic Four. Anson is the co-author of a book about storyboarding.
Anson is also the founder of his own company, Caricatures by Anson, which is dedicated to spreading Anson's brand of caricature throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
What I Offer
From wedding receptions to anniversary parties, from birthdays to corporate trade show events, Caricatures by Anson offers a unique addition to your big event. Your guests will sit for a few minutes for a cartoon portrait drawn by a professional artist and when the final image is revealed, smiles and laughter are sure to follow. Live caricatures drawn by a professional always draw crowds in any setting, and subjects get to leave the event with a personalized souvenir of your special day in the form of either an original 8.5"x11" or 11"x17" ink drawing, a 2"x3" color sticker card, or a 4"x6" color photoprint.

I know that trusting your face to another can be a harrowing experience. It is my pledge to make sure that everyone who sits in front of me feels safe, and walks away with a big smile and a truly memorable souvenir of your special event.
I’ve had the privilege of working as an artist for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry in both film and TV and in games and feel great satisfaction from being a part of something that entertains so many people. But seeing the smiles and laughter I get from people getting their caricatures done and watching the reactions of their friends and family is so much more direct -- it's a thrill that's hard to top!
